THE best DJs from all over the North West will descend on The Mighty Boof’s dance tent at this weekend’s CockRock festival.
The tent – named The Big Boof Boutique – sees the Whitehaven-based promoters return to the festival, and The Boof’s Danny Maudling promises a weekend to remember.
“This year we intend to do the dance tent vibe different to most regular dance tents,” says Danny.
“Not only will we be bringing you the best DJs from all over the North West, but we will also have live dance acts, psychedelic bands, acoustic acts and also circus entertainers to try and create a vibe like no other dance tent has.
“Each morning from 9am, we will start up with David and Daniel’s Ambient Breakfast Club – DJs spinning ambient classics as well as acoustic moods gracing the stage to set you up for the day. We will also have face-painting and balloon-making and a juggling workshop.
“As we progress into the afternoon, we will have psychedelic bands taking you up a notch with DJs spinning everything alternative.
“As we head into the early evening, we change into The Big Boof Boutique; DJs spin everything from hip-hop, dance, techno, 80s, big beat, funk, trance and live dance acts to keep you rocking all the way into the am.”
Among those appearing are Garry Kennedy, Glover, Gospel, Jilted Generation, Emma Dockeray and Proudbone Project. Resident DJs Maud, Pavarotti, Carnival Moon and Lambuna will play between the acts.
The tent runs from 3pm to 2am on Friday; 9am to 2am on Saturday; and 9am to midnight on Sunday.
